"The week in Seoul gave us a rich overview of the functioning and challenges of the political-administrative systems of different Asian countries. In addition, this experience allowed me to acquire new knowledge on research approaches and directions in the different cultural contexts of the participants. Ancillary activities, such as the visit to the National Parliament of South Korea, allowed for deeper cultural exchanges. Overall, it was a very enriching experience, both personally and for the rest of my research." Alexander, Doctoral student in Public Administration, IDHEAP

"The Swiss Asian Summer School 2018 was a great opportunity to meet researchers with a culture, traditions and points of view different from ours. It is not every day that we can exchange and confront researchers from China, Thailand and South Korea. This type of program allows you to perfect your skills in communicating research results and interact with an audience eager to learn more about Swiss public administration. Personally, this experience also allowed me to discover the different issues that interest public administration researchers in Asian countries." Jacopo, Doctoral student in Public Administration, IDHEAP

"This summer school was an opportunity to become aware of the differences between the Swiss institutional system and the Chinese, Korean and Thai state structures as well as to establish interesting contacts leading to collaborations and scientific projects. As such, the expansion of the program to more Asian countries is a great success. We also had the chance to discover the many cultural particularities of Seoul by letting ourselves be guided by our enthusiastic hosts!", Nicolas, Doctoral student in Public Administration, IDHEAP.
